Learn to notice how you move, rest and respond
(Group sessions for up to 10 participants)
We spend every day inside our bodies, yet many everyday movement habits happen almost automatically.
Body Awareness Training is about slowing that process down: noticing how you stand, sit, walk and breathe, where unnecessary tension appears, and how small changes in movement can make everyday activities feel more comfortable and deliberate.
The aim is not to achieve “perfect posture.” It is to develop a better understanding of your own movement patterns and give you practical tools you can use in daily life.
What is body awareness?
Body awareness means paying attention to physical sensations, habitual movement and the way your body responds to different situations.
Long periods of sitting, repetitive work, physical effort, fatigue and stress can all influence how we hold and move ourselves. Becoming more aware of those patterns can make it easier to recognise when something feels strained, awkward or unnecessarily tense.
What you will explore
Sessions may include:
- everyday standing and sitting habits
- walking and weight distribution
- breathing and unnecessary muscular tension
- gentle movement and mobility exercises
- noticing comfortable versus strained movement
- simple techniques that can be used at work or at home
The emphasis is on observation, experimentation and practical understanding, rather than forcing the body into a prescribed position.
What to expect
The session combines explanation with gentle movement practice.
You will be encouraged to notice how your own body responds rather than copy a single “correct” way of moving. Exercises can be adapted according to mobility, comfort and individual circumstances.
No special fitness level is required.
What this training can offer
Body Awareness Training can help you become more conscious of everyday movement and recognise habits you may otherwise overlook.
Many people find that greater awareness helps them make more comfortable choices in the way they sit, stand, move and rest.
It is an educational wellness session, not physiotherapy or medical rehabilitation.
A different kind of movement session
This is not a workout.
There are no performance targets, repetitions to conquer or poses to perfect.
It is a chance to pay attention, experiment and reconnect with the body you already live in.
