Amber dust is a fine material created during the cutting and polishing of Baltic amber. Rather than treating it as waste, it can be incorporated into a carefully prepared body scrub and used as a gentle mechanical exfoliant.

Its role in the treatment is primarily physical: the fine particles help loosen and remove dry surface cells while the surrounding oils provide slip and help keep the treatment comfortable.

At Amber Sea Holistics, the texture of the scrub, amount of product and pressure used are adapted to the individual skin rather than applied according to one fixed formula.

What to expect

The scrub is worked over suitable areas of the body using controlled, gentle movements. Pressure is adjusted according to the skin and treatment area rather than automatically using vigorous circular rubbing.

After exfoliation, the skin is cleansed and finished with a botanical oil or moisturising product selected according to your skin and the purpose of the treatment.

Before booking

Amber Dust Scrub is not automatically suitable for every skin type or every day.

It may be adapted, replaced or postponed if the skin is very thin, fragile, irritated, sunburned, broken or otherwise unsuitable for mechanical exfoliation.

If another method would be kinder to the skin, that is what I will recommend.
