This treatment combines coarse Dead Sea salt with raw honey to create a richly textured body peel.

Dead Sea salt has a distinctive mineral composition and provides the mechanical exfoliation, while honey gives the mixture its characteristic stickiness, softness and slower working texture. Together they create a very different treatment experience from a dry scrub or fine amber exfoliant.

At Amber Sea Holistics, the mixture, pressure and areas treated are adjusted according to the condition of the skin rather than following one fixed formula.

What to expect

The salt and honey mixture is worked carefully over suitable areas of the body using controlled movements and pressure.

Because the salt crystals provide noticeable mechanical exfoliation, I pay particular attention to how the skin responds during treatment. Areas that are thinner, more sensitive or easily irritated may be treated more lightly or avoided altogether.

After exfoliation, the skin is cleansed thoroughly and finished with a suitable moisturising product or botanical oil.

Before booking

This treatment is not suitable for anyone with an allergy to honey or other relevant bee-derived ingredients.

It is also not performed over broken, irritated, sunburned or actively inflamed skin, and may not be appropriate for very thin, fragile or highly sensitive skin.

Salt can sting compromised skin, so if the skin is not suitable for this type of exfoliation, another method will be recommended instead.
