Revive, Refresh, Reveal
Exfoliation at Amber Sea Holistics is not a one-size-fits-all treatment.
Skin changes with age, season, lifestyle, sensitivity, hormonal influences and individual history. That is why the method, texture and accompanying oils are chosen for the person in front of me rather than taken from a fixed recipe.
The four exfoliation treatments shown below are starting points and examples. After consultation and assessment, the method may be adjusted — or an entirely different exfoliant may be prepared specifically for you.
Why exfoliate?
The skin naturally sheds surface cells as part of its normal renewal process.
Gentle, well-chosen exfoliation can help remove loosened surface build-up and leave the skin feeling smoother, softer and better prepared for the oils or moisturizing products applied afterwards.
The important part is not simply to exfoliate more — it is to choose the right method, pressure and frequency for the individual skin.
Tailored to you
Before treatment, I take into account factors such as:
- age and skin condition
- sensitivity and current skin concerns
- medical history and relevant contraindications
- gender and individual physiological considerations
- season and climate
- previous treatments and skin-care habits
- the area of the body being treated
From there, I select or adapt the exfoliation method accordingly.
Personalized oil blends
After exfoliation, the skin is finished with an oil blend prepared with the individual client in mind.
There is no single “Amber Sea Holistics body oil.” The choice of oils may vary depending on the skin, age, season, sensitivities, treatment goals and personal preferences.
The same principle applies when working with areas where the appearance and texture of cellulite is a concern: rather than using a standard “anti-cellulite” product, I prepare a blend appropriate to the individual client and the treatment plan.
Four examples — many possibilities
The treatments below represent four methods commonly used at Amber Sea Holistics.
They are not the limit of what can be done.
Once I know more about your skin and your needs, the method may be modified, combined with another approach, or replaced with a client-specific exfoliant created for that particular session.
